Rating LED Blue Lite Rope
Totally satisfied with the product, delivery time, and installation. Took a minute to figure out the connection with the power cord, but as long as you are using a live connection and making contact to the embebedded leads, everthing is working fine.

Rating LED Install
The installation for this product was fairly straight forward. The drawings on the case showed right where the cuts should be made. The only concern is with some of the connectors. If they are not seated just right, the lights may not work. That can be corrected though by adjusting where you inserted the connector, or how far it is inserted. After some trial and error, all worked well.

Q: Are these rope lights water proof. we are looking to mount them under the edge of a pontoon boat Also is the pricing by the foot??
Asked by: dave - 3/5/2014 (Submit an answer)
A: The rope light itself is fully waterproof, you just have to make sure you seal the connection at the end once you make contact. Pricing varies from $2/Ft to $6/Ft depending on the color. You can select the color from the drop-down menu to see the cost.

Q: I would like to use the ribbon lights on my pontoon boat and also on my deck at home. On my boat, will the lights work off my battery? On my deck, can I use a transformer like those used on outdoor lighting?
Asked by: ADM - 4/5/2014 (Submit an answer)
A: The LED Rope Light will operate directly off your pontoon boat's 12VDC battery. For the deck, you will need an LED driver that will reduce the 120VAC down to 12VDC. See below for LED Drivers:

Q: are they waterproof and what is their life expectancy?
Asked by: lindy - 7/10/2014 (Submit an answer)
A: The LED Rope Light is fully waterproof as long as the ends are sealed once the connection is made. The Rope Light should last over 10 years.

Q: what transformer do I need for 90'? if I have a split across a walkway how do I connect to one transformer?
Asked by: shelli - 9/14/2014 (Submit an answer)
A: The LED Rope Light draws about 0.5w per foot. So for 90', the 60W LED Driver would work well. You will just have to run one set of wires to each run of rope light.

Q: I want to use the rope light in an art installation, but my application needs it to be in multiple short sections instead of one continuous length. I can't find any connectors sold separately on your website. If you have them, where are they listed, and if not is it possible to get more than one set of connectors? What kind of connectors are there, and is it possible to make a 3-way or 5-way connection?
Asked by: sayaka - 11/2/2014 (Submit an answer)
A: The LED Rope Light can be cut every 6". The connectors and accessories are listed towards the bottom of the Rope Light page.
