I installed the 18W, 12VCD with 27K Bulb version in my J/105 head replacing a lamp of similar size but different make. It’s a little longer and more rounded than the original but still fits comfortably in the same location. I was pleased with the quality of construction, ease of installation and overall finish/appearance. Replacing the bulb is pretty simple; just pry off the diffuser and pop in a new bulb (I wish the unit came with a replacement bulb). I was especially pleased that the on/off rocker switch is more robust than the one that broke on the old unit. The lamp totally illuminates the head, which is what it was intended for, but also partly illuminates the flanking wet locker and very front part of the V-berth. After a few weeks of regular use I can recommend it without reservation.
